Losing number formatting when I create a relation between tables.

This has been happening to me a few times. I tried googling but I can't find any result to why this is happening.

I have 3 tables: data, team and begroting.

Data is a list of employee's with a certain % score.

Team is a list of employees with a team number.

Begroting is a list that contains the budget per team number.

Data and Team are linked by employee number.

Team and begroting are linked by team number.

 

When I link the tables Team and Begroting together, all the number formatted columns lose their number formatting as illustrated below. When I want to use the columns from table begroting, I can't sum the values anymore.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I doing something wrong?

Any advice is welcome.

Would you please check the summarize by option for these columns:

And please try to change it to sum.

Ah,, you made me realize that for some reason the column did not have the proper data type. 

Even though the ∑ signs are still not showing, I now have the option to sum the values, and it works! Thanks

@Anonymous not sure why it is happening, usually it happens to the column that you are setting relation on but all other columns should stay as the aggregated columns. Can you put these columns in a visual and change the aggregation to sum?
