Hello Power BI Community,
Can I please ask for your help?
I am seeking for a solution to overqrite one column with another, with a conditioning to it.
I would like to overwrite dates in 'Start Date' with ones from 'Move to FISHER', but without empty cells (null), so those ones would be excluded from the action and in these rows 'Start Date' would remain unchanged.
Is there a solution for that?
Kind regards,
Jack
You will have to create a New conditional column to achieve this. You will not be able to overwrite your Start date column.

Thank you for a swift response,
So just to get some guidance, I would have to first set up a column that would be based on copy of the 'Start Date' column and then also add to it conditioning in some way to amend values based on the other one?
Add a New column and use the below Dax.
New Date = IF(ISBLANK('Table'[Moved to Fisher]),'Table'[Start Date],'Table'[Moved to Fisher])
It looks promising and will have to check if it turns out working.
Thank you very much for help. It is one line of instruction, yet for my project - a big step forward 😊.
Warm regards,
Jack
