Hi All,
Following the Desktop update of November, I am no more apble to resfresh and get access to my oracle DB.
Previously with Sept and Oct desktop version we were connected using the Driver ODAC ODAC121024.
When I downgrade back to the September version, this is working well again.
The message on November Version is :
Did any of you experienced the same bug or might have a solution ?
Best Regards,
OLN
Hi @Olenard,
I have tested connecting to Oracle DB in DirectQuery or Import mode with two desktop versions. I didn't encounter the same error, the connection worked well to return expected data.
Version: 2.64.5285.582 64-bit (November 2018)
Version: 2.64.5285.701 64-bit (November 2018)
In your scenario, would you please uninstall and re-install the newest desktop release for a test? If it still doesn't work, maybe you could update the Driver for a test.
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi ,
Thank you for your reply.
I already did install and uninstall. Twice, and no change occured.
Nonetheless, please note that I am using the OLE DB connection to get the data from Oracle since the classic connection is far too slow. This is a classic, and it was working on the previous version.
best
