We inherited a large PBIX that contains around 80% unused column. For optimization sake we'd like to remove columns not used in any visualization. Is there an efficient way to search for unused columns, or do we have to click on each visualization, and inventory which columns / measures are being used (e.g. the columns are highlighted in yellow when clicked).
Any ideas?

Bertrand's excellent utilities does this in Excel. http://www.sqlbi.com/tools/power-pivot-utilities/
Presumably he uses dax Studio to extract the data - I'm not sure. Maybe take a look at his code to see if it can be done in Pbix.
