Open a .pbix with an older version on a machine with a newer version

I made a report on a VM with an older version of PB Desktop and now when I open the report on a computer with a newer version it slows down and sometimes won't load or open.

Sometimes I have opened, updated and displayed correctly.
I have the impression that when opening the .pbix with a more recent version it was transformed because later with the VM it tells me that it had a more recent version and it does not open.

Does anyone know if there is a problem opening an older version of pbix with a higher version computer?

Any advice/solution?

What is your data source and connection mode?

The report may not be opened properly because of the data source and connection mode.

data source: excel file

 connection mode: Connect to the folder and combine the excel files

@Anonymous , if you have opened in the latest version, it will not open in the older version. Upgrade the power bi in VM
