Only using the GET command (REST API)

Hey all,

Im very new to power bi so i'm hoping there is a kind person how can help me. I want to connect to my companies economic data via a REST API - but i want to make 100% sure that when i get data into Power BI, that Power BI dont change or edit any data from the Source - Cause via the REST API you have full control over your economic data - read and write, edit, delete. So is there a way i can secure that no matter what i do (change, edit, delete) in Power BI - the source data is NOT changed?

Pleased to hear from anyone 🙂

Best regards,

Rasmus

@Anonymous , Power BI Import mode saves a local copy of data and you should read API to get data in power bi. Any change done on import mode saves on power bi
