On click change the button colors etc

Can the colour/style  of the button that links to the bookmark be changed on click so the user knows that this button is currently selected and then when a different button is selected the state of this button goes back to normal?

yeah, you will change it back to another bookmark. it is a common scenario, you have to change the color back in each bookmark page.

I ended up creating a copy of each button and changed properties on it (color, border etc) and ended up setting it up to show or hide depending on what bookmark I am on. That fixed it for me.

now when I try that second suggestion this is what happens.

I changed the font to black colour on button #2 links to bookmark 2 and I did update this bookmark

when I go to bookmark #1 I expect to see the font on button #2 black and it is. So I changed it to white and did an update on bookmark #1 but now the button #2 on bookmark #2 is back to original white color

That's the way and easy especially when you are using a bookmark.

this doesn't work for me

I have three buttons and all three are showing on each page

I clicked on one of the bookmarks changed the color and updated the bookmark but the change also ends up being applied to other bookmarks as well

@stribor45 on the bookmark page, change the color of the button compared to the main page, it will look like the button is clicked.

Is this the way this is commonly done?  I was looking at state change "on hover" and "on press" but that didnt work for me.
