ONMicrosoft.com account not allowing login from the desktop but working in service

Hello All, 

I hope someone can help me. I have been using for Power BI a created email address that has a username@fictitiouscompanyname.onmicrosoft.com for years. It has worked both in the Power BI desktop and Power BI service since 2018. I use this account to demonstrate when teaching Power BI. While I still can use this account to log into  Power BI Service, Power BI desktop will no longer let me sign in with it. 

When I try, it asks me to pick a personal email address, which happens to be a Microsoft account (And yes, I KNOW that one can't use a personal email address in Power BI, only work and school ones, that is the reason for the fictitious onmicrosoft.com account) and then it flashes and never asks me for my password and doesn't attempt to sign me in.

How can this be fixed? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with the onmicrosoft.com accounts in the desktop portion of Power BI?

Hi @moreintn57,

In fact, Onmicrosoft account still work on power bi desktop.

Have you switch different account on your device? AFAIK, current power bi desktop has a known sign in issues appears when you use different accounts on the same device.
