Hello,
Using PBI desktop connecting to salesforce object.
Has been working fine until one of the views I'm refreshing has started returning error message.
OLE DB lub ODBC : [DataSource.Error] An unexpected error occurred. Please include this ErrorId if you contact support: 148778605-23785 (-1498623492).
Any ideas?
Hi @Ewa I know this reply is very late, but were you able to find a solution? I've used the Salesforce connector but I had some issues when refreshing my data too. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:
There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
Hi, @Ewa
According to your error message, I can’t find anything useful. Would you like to show more detailed information about your data connection mode and this error?
You can first check the troubleshooting of the data refresh in power bi:

@Ewa , I do not see any open issue or support ticket listed for this.
Can open power query and see if there is a more detailed error.
In edit connection, you can clear permission and give credentials again and try.
