OData Connection Issue F&O
Hello Everyone!
I keep getting the following error in Power BI: "You do not have permission to execute DirPersonEntity read. A Finance and Operations administrator must assign you to the correct role to perform this operation"
How do I resolve this? Note: I contacted the F&O administrator and he has given me all the necessary permissions I need to access the data source, still getting this error.

Here are some possible solutions that you can try:
- Check if you have direct access to the dataset on the Manage dataset access permissions page in Power BI1. You can open this page by selecting Manage permissions on the More options (…) menu from the data hub, the dataset details page, or the Share dataset dialog. If you don’t see your name or email address on the list, you can ask the dataset owner or a workspace admin to grant you access.
- Check if you have the latest version of the Power BI on-premises data gateway installed on your machine2. Previous versions of the gateway may block Power BI Desktop from opening or connecting to data sources. You can download the latest version of the gateway from this link: https://aka.ms/gatewayinstaller
- Check if you have any security software or firewall settings that may interfere with the communication between Power BI Desktop and the data source2. You may need to run Power BI Desktop with administrator privileges or adjust your security rules to allow named pipes to work properly.
