Hello
I'm trying to set up a data source for a Power BI Services Gateway, but I'm getting the following error:
I try to connect through power bi desktop, it recognizes the ODBC sources that I have configured on the machine and connects me without any problem. On the machine I have the ORACLE client, the tsnames.ora file configured, the environment variables configured, and the ODBC configured and tested correctly.
Thank you

Hi,MattiaFratello ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hello,@Syndicate_Admin .I am glad to help you.
When you configure a gateway connection, you need to set up credentials for the gateway connection to be able to access your data source properly.
You need to ensure that the user roles you set up can access your data source properly.
Which authentication method you should use depends on your data source type.

I would try to verify the following:
1) Verify that the version of the Oracle client installed on the machine is compatible with the Power BI Gateway version and supports the connection you want to make (32-bit vs 64-bit compatibility)
2) Check that the account running the Power BI Gateway has appropriate permissions to access the Oracle database and the required network resources
So on the VM you can connect using ODBC on Power BI Desktop?
Right, on that machine I connect from power BI desktop without any problem
Are you using standard or personal gateway? Where is the gateway installed?
Hello
I'm using a standard gateway, the gateway is installed on a remote machine
