Number of employees sick ON A DAY - over time - start and end date - currently sick

Hi all,

Not sure where I am going wrong here, I think this should be a simple calc but I cant seem to get my head around it.....
I’m trying to sum the total number of staff currently absent - and to look at this over time.

This one I am using a date table, however the calc is pulling up the totals the same over many months inc future months....

This one is using the start date, but is just counting the number of new absences that started on that date, not the total of all people absent on that date

What I want to see on the bar chart is the number of employees off sick over time and have this as low as on one day. Any ideas...?
