Not able to add Numeric column in charts. Works only in table

Hello, I'm encountering a wierd problem. I have an existing Power BI file where I am not able to display "numeric" column in a chart. Here is the screenshot. I have two columns in a table called "Test Data" with two rows as in the table visual. In the chart visual, I am trying to plot "Column2" which is a numeric column. However, it's not allowing me to add the column under "Y-axis". It works if I create a measure on top of it. Appreciate any help here.

@vijaykvs Only reason I can think of this will happen if you have a calculation group in your model because it will not allow implicit measures (which means you cannot drag the columns to visualize) but your file doesn't have a calculation group.

I created a new file with two columns and it worked fine, so seems like it is something with this file that is causing the issue.

@vijaykvs theoretically if you deleted all the calculation groups from the model this setting should have changed to False. Anyhow, glad it is working now. Cheers!!

Wow, that was the real issue. Thanks for pointing that out. I used to have calculation groups in this report earlier which I deleted. But seems we also need to set the model property "Discourage Implicit Measures" to "False" manullay in Tabular Editor. After that change it worked. Thanks again.
