Hello,
When importing two tables from an Excel table, if the date field is relating the two tables, the date hierarchy isn't working in any visualization.
If the relationship is deleted, the date hierarchy works again.
Why is this? The relationship is one-to-one (since we have exactly the same dates on both tables) and bi-directional.
Thank you so much for helping!
Same problem in my table. After deleting the relationship the date hierarchy is working againg. But while the relationship to a date table is active, the date hirarchy in my imported excel file (with not only unique dates) is not working any more.
Found the solution in this post:
Depends from the direction of your drawn join, which date will have a hierarchy and which will not.
Could you please share us some sample data, so that we can make further analysis.
You can upload a pbix file to Onedrive or any web storage and share the link. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
Regards,
Charlie Liao
Hello @v-caliao-msft
Here's a sample file.
If you delete the relationship between the two tables, then the chart will allow date hierarchy.
Otherwise, it will not.
