New csv added to data source folder doesn't update Power BI Desktop or query editor

Hello all,

New Power BI user here. I've got 4 source folders connected to my data model and each week I drag my new csv reports into the folders and click refresh. Everything has been working perfectly for months. Now for some reason, one of the data sources is no longer updating. The other 3 sources continue to update without issue.

In Power Query I can see that the file has been accessed, however it doesn't add the new data rows to the bottom of my table either in the query editor or main interface:

Latest dataset has been accessed.png

I have 'Enable load' and 'Include in report refresh' both selected in the query editor window.

Enable load is selected in query editor.png

But the new data rows do not pull through to my reports. The latest data shows from early March and all my data from the rest of March and the beginning of April is missing.

No data shows from April.png

I have tried re-connecting to the data source however query editor shows it is reading those files... Please can someone help?

Thank you

Quenril

Have you checked any possible filter applied in the step later ? if possible share your pbix file ?

I think you should copy the pbix and (after the source step you have shown) attempt to filter out all the files except the one that is causing you a problem.  Step through in Power Query and see if you can identify the step where the data 'disappears'

Hi AmiraBedh,

Oh gosh, oh course! What a schoolgirl error! Thank you, I had temporarily added a filter in the query editor and forgot to delete it afterwards. Thank you so much!
