If you go to your table view, on the ribbion there's a section named "Modeling". In it is a "what if" section with a "New Parameter" button. Everything I've read says I should be able to click it, but ti's greyed out.
I have no live data. It's pulled from a SQL Server database in 90% of cases. Even when I make a brand new file and pull data from a test excel sheet the button is greyed out.

It is enabled in the report/visualization view. Does it have any role in the Model view?
I'd swear it wasn't this morning, but yep it's working in the report/visualization view.
