New Column error

So there seems to be a problem or I'm missing something.

When I create a New Column the first time, no problem, when I try and create a second one I get this error...

"A single value for Variation  'ColumnName' in table 'TableName' cannot be determined.....  blah blah blah...

Now the thing is, that it seem to be when I try and use and IF function and try and type a field name after it.

But whats really weird is I took the code from the first New Column I created  "That works" and plug it into another new column and the error pops up.  And yes the field does exist example below...

It did not use to do this before the current May 2017 Update I loaded a couple days ago.

Hi @Stevil,

Please check if you create a calculated column or a measure. From the error message, it seems that you create a measure. Please click the New Column button then type this DAX again to see if the same error throws.
