New Card Visual not Working

Hey Community -

I am having an issue with the new card visual with reference labels.  I created the New Cards and added 2 reference labels to the cards.  Everything was working fine, but then when I published it to the service, the cards were not generating anything,  The callout value, reference labels and images were not showing up.

Then when I went back into PBI Desktop, with the December update, those cards are not generating anything either.  However, on another report page I have New Card visuals with a single reference label and those are working fine in both Desktop and Service.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced any similar issues with the New Card visual in general, or with more than 1 reference label since the Dec-23 release.....

Thanks

Ryan

why the (new) card visual applies only to Power BI Desktop and isn’t available in Power BI service ?? and when it will be released and ready to be published ??

I have the same issue. If a reference label value is blank, then the card does not update. E.g. I have a slicer, where I choose what item to show on the card. If I choose an item in the slicer where one of the reference label values is blank, then nothing on the card updates. If I choose an item, where all the reference label values return a valid value, then all is fine. The link that points to a known issue does not address this issue (and the issue in the link is said to be fixed already).

Thanks @VictorWentz for the tip. I'll have to add the coalesce if this doesn't get fixed before I need to publish my report.

I am facing a slightly different issue. My existing visuals stopped responding to cross filtering. The bug surfaces as soon as I add a reference label.  This happens both in Desktop and in the Service.

I'm experiencing the same issue. When the reference label is blank, the new card stops working. None of the information on the card filters accordingly, and the formatting tab disappears, only reappearing to perform style and title transformations.

The solution i found was to put coalesce in all my metrics used in referenced label, coalesce([metric], 0).

I'm experiencing a similar issue since receiving the December 2023 update. I created a new card visual in Power BI desktop yesterday with a reference label and detail, then when I reopened the report this morning, nothing was showing in the card except the title. None of the usual formatting options for the new card visual are showing up in the Format pane, e.g. callout values, reference labels, etc. The only options in the Format pane are Size and Style and Title. I tried creating a copy, but the copy had the same issues. Everything worked fine when I created a new one from scratch, though. Guess I'll just have to redo the one I made yesterday.
