Hi,
I am trying to connect to Netezza through Power BI Netezza Connector, but I am constantly getting the error:
ODBC: ERROR [28000] Security is not enabled on the backend.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to connect to the source?
Borut
Hi @Anonymous,
As the error message indicated, it could be an issue on the database server side. So I would suggest that you also post the issue on a Netezza forum for better assistance. ![]()

Really no one has such an issue with connecting to Netezza or nobody is connecting to Netezza.
I have written to Netezza forum, but no answer yet.
Hi friend did you manage how to fix this error? I will try to connect netezza soon
Did you try to disable the SSL connection on PowerBI side?
In PowerBI Desktop, click "File->Options and settings->Data source settings". Double click on the "IBM Netezza" in the list, unselect "Encrypt connections".
