Need to show the tickets(Service Now) in hierarchy using Power Bi Matrix
Data should be displayed in a hierarchy:
Possibility
1. Demands -> Story,
2. Demands -> Projects -> Story,
3. Demands -> EPIC -> Story - Considerations for data sorting, filtering, and organization to accurately reflect the hierarchical structures
Have to handle all above possible in matrix. Kindly help.
Hi @gauthambi23 ,
Are these fields come from one table? What is Type_D column? I recommend you provide sample data and show example of your requirement. How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum - Microsoft Fabric Community
Best regards,
Mengmeng Li
Hi @gauthambi23 - Ensure your dataset contains columns representing each level of the hierarchy:
Each row in your data should reflect the relationship, with nulls in columns that don’t apply to certain levels.
Load your data into Power BI and confirm that each level (Demand, Project, Epic, Story) is structured appropriately.
In the Fields pane, drag the relevant fields to the Rows section of the Matrix visual in this order:
Power BI will automatically create a hierarchy in the Matrix visual based on this order.
Enable +/- icons under the Matrix settings so users can expand or collapse each level in the hierarchy.

Hi
Thanks for sharing the info.
Actually First, i have to check demand have Project or EPIC or STory then Matrix should display it. In below image, if i drag and drop Epic ID and STory ID like below, Demand with Project and Story not display anything as Matrix expects Epic first. So suggest anything related with below requirement.
