Posting new thread in regard to older post.
I'm looking for new method to properly display a sub header in matrix. After creating calc within the measure, see post below. I ran into issue I can't figure out what best given the context and specific order the stakeholder wish it to be in. I was thinking along the line of creating another table and classifying the subheader to show it in matrix. Please advise if there another better approach. Thanks you all.

You can try to create a separate table that contains the subheader values and the corresponding classification. A workaround is to create a table with columns for "Month", "Quarter", and "Classification", where "Classification" is the subheader value and "Month" and "Quarter" are used to determine the order and grouping of the subheader values in the matrix.
You can create a relationship between it and the original data table, using the "Month" and "Quarter" columns as the keys. Then, you can add the "Classification" column to the Rows field in the matrix visual, and it should display as a subheader.
Thanks, tried with new table then linking it didn't work.
I strongly believe that some tasks we used to perform in Excel won't be applicable in PBI even if we can find workarounds that can impact the model performances. Otherwise can you share your pbix file and let's give it a try ?
No worries, understood. Here's the pbi sample file. I still hope someone can help figure this out.
