HI,RichOB
Regarding the issue you raised, my solution is as follows:
1.First I have created the following table and the column names and data are the data you have given:
2.Next create relationships between tables:
3. I've provided two measure that fit your needs, and you can choose from them:
MEASURE = CALCULATE ( SUM ( GL_Entries[Balance] ), KEEPFILTERS ( 'GL_Entries'[Category] IN { "Salaries", "IT Systems", "Training" } ) )Measure2 = CALCULATE ( SUM ( GL_Entries[Balance] ), FILTER ( 'GL_Entries', 'GL_Entries'[Category] IN { "Salaries", "IT Systems", "Training" } ) )4.Here's my final result, which I hope meets your requirements.
Please find the attached pbix relevant to the case.

Hi RichOB - Can you try below measure
Balance_Income =
CALCULATE(
SUM(GL_Entries[Amount]),
GL_Entries[Category] IN {"Salaries", "IT Systems", "Training"}
)
Hope it helps

Hi rajendraongole1 Unfortunately this didn't work.
Just to make the column names the same Amount is Balance and the Category column is in a different spreadsheet called Table5. I though amending it what's below would work but it didn't.
Balance_Income =
CALCULATE(
SUM(GL_Entries[Balance]),
Table5[Category] IN {"Salaries", "IT Systems", "Training"}
)
When I do that it gives me the table on the right with all categories and all at 1089.45.
Would you know how to solve this?
