Hi,
I have created a line chart where it can compare the trending for a different years. In this case i have a 2 years line chart data.
However, the problem is that the line chart will not show a trend for 2 years if the Reported Date filter is set for the current year. For example, if I select performance filter for 2021 only, performance line chart for 2020 will not appear.
My intention is to set the line chart visul stagnant and keep showing the line chart for 2 years instead.
My expectation to have line chart for multiple years as follow, eventhough the reported date is set for current year.
How can i achieve this?
Thank you.
@Zaky , Try a measure like this with date table(marked as date table too)
example
Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))
Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date'[Date]))
Filter and axis need to come from date table
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
