Need Help Creating Matrix based on Goal v Actual

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some help creating a matrix that will demonstrate by month, the goal and actual values of a KPI (image below):

My data is currently in two sheets by tabular format, an actuals sheet and a goals sheet (image below):

On my initial go at it - I tried putting Month Name as column, Plants as row, and then ideally using the KPI's as values but the name of the KPI would populate up Month name. Do I need to create a third table listing Goal v Actual?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @JP_G ,

You can refer to the following steps:
1. In the power query editor, hold down the CTRL key, select these four columns, and then click the unpivot columns button. Both tables perform the same operation.

2. After applying the results to desktop, create a relationship for two tables.

3. Place the appropriate fields in the matrix and rename them in the visual object.

Hi Clara,

Thanks again for the help! That worked well. When it comes to data formatting with this situation - I'm trapped by having all my metrics in one column right? Any good way to pivot another way to that I can apply data formatting to certain Attributes.

Hi Clara,

I will try this and post my progress. Thank you!
