Hello,
This is what I get sometimes when using SQL statements in Power BI or Excel.
Does anyone know if there are any real dangers for the data source database while using this method to get data?!
In the Power Query Editor, the native database query will be passed to database and executed directly, every time you change the Query (like you pass a different parameter or change it in some other way), it will be treated as a "New". This is potentially dangerous. Also if you have any alter clause, it will change the database direct which is not safe.
Regards,
