Hello everyone! im a new learner here.
As title says, my table refreshes whenever i choose a value in a row.
Below is a sample scenario:
I have a dataset coming from two excel files.
File 1
UserCode | Name | Country |
A | Mark | PHP |
B | John | TH |
C | Kim | CN |
E | Shaun | US |
F | Tim | CN |
G | Diego | UK |
File 2
Code | Game | Award |
A | Basketball | Gold |
B | Badminton | Silver |
C | Basketball | Gold |
E | Badminton | Bronze |
F | Badminton | Bronze |
G | Basketball | Gold |
The Code column is the primary key that connects two table.
I created three Table visualization:
Table 1 shows Country
Table 2 shows Players on the selected country in Table 1
Table 3 shows Awards
Now if i click Table 1 Country, it correctly shows all the Players in Table 2. The problem comes if i select a row in Table 2.
Using the filtered players in Table 2, i want to filter their awards if they won gold, silver or bronze. But whenever I choose a player in Table 2, it refreshes the whole table.
Table 3 correctly show the value but Table 2 has all the players again even I selected a specific value. Table 1 now shows the country of that player selected before it was refresh.
I saw a bit similar case here in the community and it suggested that whenever choosing a row, instead of clicking, use the CTRL + click to select one or multiple value.
Is this the normal behavior or my relationship on two tables is incorrect. Im using Both in cross filter direction.
Hopefully someone could help me out 😟
Thank you!
