Hello all,
I'm new to power bi and hoping someone can help me with an issue regarding multiplying percentage fields.
The data source (sharepoint list) is a project intake report where users specify various savings projects, thier total savings amounts (£), and respective business unit allocations (%). These fields are input by users directly into the sharepoint list.
Where im having troubles is simply multiplying the business units allocations (% column) to the total savings amounts (£) and having the totals reflected accurately. Since I have to convert the % column to a value (currenlty using average) in order to multiply it by the sum of total savings, it is taking the aggreagte or average across all fields and applying it to the sum of savings.
Any help on getting that 485k to be 1.15 would be greatly apprecaited.

@biotechanalyst , Assume you have a measure R&D total saving and a visual group by category
then try a measure like
sumx(Values(Table[Category]),[R&D total saving])
