I want to create a new column tgat has many sub-conditions. Something as follows:
if(Text='Apple','Mango', if(Edible='Yes', if(Edible='No'))) as Eatable. However, the variable Text is in one table and Edible is in another table.
Can this be done? thank You!

Hi @Anonymous
Yes, you can do that. Use RELATED funtion and also pls make sure the requied relationship is done properly.
New Column =
IF( Table1[Col1] = "Apple", "Fruit", IF (RELATED(Table2[Edible]))= "Yes", "Eatable","Not Eatable") )
Thanks

Hey,
I actually have a code as follows in QlikView
if(Text='manufacturing', if(dir_indir='Dir', 'DIR', if(dir_indir='Indir', 'INDIR'))) as DIRINDIR.
I want to create this new column DIRINDIR in a similar way.
Thank You!
