Hi,

I am new to Power BI and trying to develop an report. Below is my requirement.

we want to add  different shapes in a single graph for 5 different columns. There are 5 Columns A,B,C,D,E.  Cloumns A is the line graph and B,C are also line graphs but dotted which acts as UL and LL for column A. We want shade area between B and C.  For column D it should be blod line. For column E it should be traingle/any shape to differentiate all 4 other columns. can you please help me with this.

X axis is time and Y axis is values of the columns(numeric).

Hi @nageshpbi ,

We can set the shape for each line, click "Format" - "Shapes", open "Customize Series", select A, change your setting, then select other column and changes.

Hi @nageshpbi

You can use the basic line chart.

Or the area chart.

Cheers!

@Anonymous  Thank you very much for quick response. problem is we are not able to get column E as different shape in any of the suggested charts. We want columns E as any other shape like triangle,dot/any shape. This is not working.

Hi @nageshpbi

Some sample data or PBIX file will help to understand better your issue.

Cheers!

@Anonymous   we want something as below. this is for 3 different columns. A,D and E. This is developed in Excel. but i am facing issues in developing same in Pwer BI. Orange color is column E which we want to differentiate using any shape.

Hi @nageshpbi

I couldnt find how to make any shapes with line chart.

Only different colors.

You can have a look at Chart Accent, which have a bit more control over the visualisation.

Cheers!
