Hello,
I have a Table A with Columns: Name, Address, Value
I have Table B with Columns: Name, Address, Value
In table A and B there are duplciates of Name and Addresses.
I have a Bridge Table with Column: Name. This contains only unique values. I create a one to many relationship and single direction filter from my Bridge table to Table A and B.
Now when I drag Name to my filters pane or used in calcualtions, the resutls for Value column is wokring fine.
However when I drag the Address column from either Table A or B the data for sum of VAlue is appearing incorrectly.
Does this mean I have to create a separaate bridge table for Address ?
Would an alternative be to create a bidrectional filter for the Name Bridge table and then this would avoid creating that second Bruidge table for address ?
Thanks

hi, @blytonpereira
First, Then I can drag Name or Address from Table A or B into my dashboard andit will display correct values?
You need to drag name or Address from Name table or Adress table.
for example:
Second, If you want to just create one bridge table and drag the address from table A or B.
You need to change cross filter direction from singel to Both.
But this will lead to a new issue.
For example:
In the table A C3 value is 8 and table B C3 value is 5, and I create a one to many relationship and single direction filter from my Bridge table (Name) to Table A and B.
Then I drag address from table A into slicer and filter C3.
Filter value in table B is B1 and B2! Because their relationship is based on Name column, when you filter address in table A,
It will filter table B by the name column.
So the best way for your case is the method that using two bridge like above.

hi, @blytonpereira
For you create a one to many relationship and single direction filter from my Bridge table to Table A and B.
So table A and B could be filtered each other.
And here are some suggestions for you refer to:
1. Create a Bridge Table with Column: Address. This contains only unique values. and create a one to many relationship and single direction filter from my Bridge table to Table A and B too.
2. change cross filter direction from singel to Both.
3. since table A and B have the same table structure, you could try to append them into one table in Edit Queries or Union them into a new table.

So that means I need two bridge tables....one for Name and one for Address and the conenct each of these Bridhge tables to Table A and B via a BI direction filter one to many ........Then I can drag Name or Address from Table A or B into my dashboard andit will display correct values ?
How about creating just one bridge table for Name with bi directional filter . Why does'nt this option work ?
