MattAllington's book is very approachable, and his website is great as well. Also Rob collies books + website (www.powerpivotpro.com) are great resources.
If you want "next level" deep knowledge of dax, you go w/ anything by marcorusso and his partner alberto ferrari who... aren't as approachable but if you want to *REALLY* know what's up... that is where you go. www.sqlbi.com

We use Power BI desktop to design your report.
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-getting-started/We publish report to Power BI services and pin the visuals to dashboard. Then we can share the dashboard to others.
