More efficient way to write IF formula is blank, use X otherwise use same formula?

A simple question really. I have the following formula:

IF ( ISBLANK ( LOOKUPVALUE (.....) ), "Text", LOOKUPVALUE (.....))

Is there a more elegant way of writing that, or an alternative formula, so that I do not repeat LOOKUPVALUE twice just to get the correct result?

@SevsBo , You can try using variable and instead of calling lookup function two times you can call variable

Hi @SevsBo ,

You can try this DAX:

VAR A = LOOKUPVALUE(...)
RETURN
IF(ISBLANK(A),"Text",A)
