Month Column

I have not been using Power Bi for a while so I am kinda rusty. Currrently I have 4 Excel files of 4 continuous months and they all do not have a month column. I have manually combined them into one file and added a month column for visualization and apparently Power BI does not pick up on that. I tried to change the type from text to date but I gave me an error and can't convert it. Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

Hi,

One of ways to achieve this is to have a Calendar Dimension Table, connect it to the fact table, and get the Month name column from the dimension table for visualizations.

Thank you.
