MoM performance change cohort analysis

Hello all,

I'm trying to present a dashboard that shows performance growth.

I thought that the best way to do it is by cohort chart

my idea is to compare a single metric by Client (each row) by Month (each column is a month)

I'm looking to use the previous month's data as the benchmark for the following.

for exe' I had 5 leads during Jan, 10 during Feb, 7 during Mar

I would like to see the following

Client | Jan     | Feb    | Mar

A        | 100% | 200% | -30%

Can anyone can think of an elegant solution for this?

Omer

Hi,

For Feb, the figure should be 100%.  Why is it 200%?

as it represents a 200% increase from the previous month.

I struggling with using considering each month as the next month's benchmark - can't think of a way to formulizing it.

Hi,

The growth in Feb (over Jan) is 5.  5/5 is 100%.

@Anonymous I think Matrix visual is good as there will be many customers on rows. At the maximum you can conditional formatting to highlight the % growth, like negative in Red, 0-5% increase in yellow otherwise Green. It will immediately highlight what are red and green. Just an idea

thanks! I really liked the idea of the conditional formatting as it will help me understand and analyze the performance.

But I'm not succeeding in how to to use each month's value as the context to the next one. would appreciate any help
