Hi everyone,
I have a problem which drives me crazy and am appreciated any help!
I have two tables, Monthly Overview (All) containing all information including all reporting units, global IDs and Period (format YYYY0MM), and Remediation Overview containing some information of some reporting units, with respective global IDs and Period. I want to vlookup from Monthly Overview (All) table to have column "Referenced Unit" of Monthly Overview table in Remediation Overview. For that, I merge queries using Reporting Unit, Global ID and Period as the unique key and choose to Join Kind Left Outer. The result returns blank. I also tried Concatenate and Lookupvalue, also returns blank.
Any idea?
Thank you so much,
Can't solve this specific instance but here's how you progress.
Do a test to join only on one field at a time e.g Period. See if there are matches. If not, then investigate.
Then try joining on another single field. Do that for all three and see if any don't work.
If they work, then try a join on 2 fields, again see what works. Ultimately you will find the column or columns that don't match - investigate that and edit the data to fix.
