Memory issue

Hey guys
So I have 5000000 rows in a table, 
Getting the data from sql in import mode. 
All well and good till here. Problem is when I want to create a simple calculated column stating, give me the date/time of a particular customer previous to the date column in that row. Eg:
Cust    Date          calculated column

1          1stJan                null

1          2ndJan              1st Jan

1          3rd jan               2ndJan


Problem is, if i take a small data then it works fine, but for 5000000 rows it throws a memory error. Is there a work around to handle this in powerbi itself?

@Anonymous would recommend calculating this new column in the view in the SQL server and directly bringing it in the model.
