Measure to filter based on Slicer

Hi,

What I'm hoping to do is have a measure which filters based on the slicer. It gets a little more complicated as what I am hoping is for a formula to forecast an end of year figure based on the actual results plus the budget results.

I can get measures working which calculate the YTD Actual result and the YTD Budget result but I can't work out how to combine them with one measure. I've shown a manual calculation of the sort of result I'd be looking for below.

I want the end user to be able to pick Period 6 (I have it currently just showing the number) and this would show Actuals Filtered for Period =< 6 and Budget for >6.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Hi @SA9876,

Why dont you create one more measure with If condition?

measureAlias= if(period<=6, [YTD Actuals] , [YTD Budget])

or

measureAlias= if(max(period)<=6, [YTD Actuals] , [YTD Budget])

not sure, but let's try it

Hi @tringuyenminh92

Sadly this doesn't work, it does select based on the period but it doesn't add up the other values...

Thanks for replying so fast!

Hi @SA9876,

Hope you could share a sample data so I could observe to understand your scenario correctly.
