Matrix Row total - Average of rows in Matrix

Hi,

i am new in power BI, I have a matrix, with one Measure. My measure is

Index = AVERAGE(Consolidated[Avg_Spend]), it is calculating values correctly, but my row totals are wrong.

I want to take the AVERAGE of 83.20 and 218.87. How can i do that, thanks for your help..

Thanks for your reply, i have managed to solve it by searching the comunity.

I changed my Measure

from this

Index = AVERAGE(Consolidated[Avg_Spend])

to this

Index = AVERAGEX(

VALUES (Consolidated[Item]),

CALCULATE(

AVERAGE(Consolidated[Avg_Spend])))

and it works fine..

Your average is taking the average value at all levels. can you share the expected result with some sample data?
