Hi all, help please, the simple matrix visual that I created has incorrect totals for some columns only. This was created using the basic matrix visual tool. I have very little DAX knowledge.

Hi @mdol678 ,
Exceptions to the total value in the matrix are generally the result of calculations in the measure formula added to the value(and not the result of dragging the original field into the value for automatic aggregation). You can refer to the location of the following screenshot to see the fields or measures used in the created matrix.
Also I have made simple demos which I hope will help you understand.
result_ = COUNTROWS('Table')
assets =
IF (
HASONEVALUE ( 'Table'[Status] ),
COUNTROWS ( 'Table' ),
COUNTROWS ( FILTER ( 'Table', 'Table'[Other] <> "No pass" ) )
)

@mdol678 First, please vote for this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=082203f1-594f-4ba7-ac87-bb91096c742e
This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:

Thank you for your response. This matrix was created using the basic matrix visual tool and selecting the appropriate fields for the row, columns and values. The data is coming from two different queries with a one to many relationship.
I did not create any measure specifically, its all automatic. I'm not sure if I know even how to view the DAX code behind the visual?
Are you using a measure? Paste the measure
