I want to display a message like “No record found” when your matrix in Power BI doesn’t have any data.
To display a message like "No record found" when your matrix in Power BI doesn't have any data, you can use the "No data" option available in Power BI. Here's how you can do it:
Open your Power BI report and select the matrix visual for which you want to display the "No record found" message.
In the Visualizations pane on the right-hand side, click on the matrix visual to select it.
In the Format section of the Visualizations pane, expand the "No data" section.
Turn on the "No data" option by toggling the switch to the "On" position.
You can now enter the message you want to display when there's no data in the matrix. In your case, you can enter "No record found" in the provided text box.
Customize the formatting of the message by adjusting the font size, font color, or background color if needed.
Once you've configured the "No data" message to your liking, close the Format section.
Now, when there is no data to display in the matrix visual, Power BI will show the message "No record found" in the center of the visual. When data is available, this message will automatically disappear.
This feature is helpful for providing context to users when there's no data to display in a visual, ensuring that they understand why there are no records shown.
@123abc , can you please show us a screenshot for the no data section you've mentioned, because i can't find it in the matrix visual.
