Marking as Date table validating error

I am trying to mark a calendar as a date table and am getting error message:

Unable to finish validation, I tried this on a new power BI file and am still receiving this message. Any ideas?

Is the calendar table coming from an external source (Power Query) or from a DAX function?

That should not fail validation. Can you show the formula?
