Map visual not showing correct regions

Hi, I am trying to show locations(Regions) in map visual, the regions looks like this

Col1     Region

1           East US

2           East US2

3           Southeast Asia

4           Central US

5           South Central US

6           West US2

But on the visual East US is showing on West side and the other regions are also not correct, here is the screenshot from the visual

I have changed the region column category to place, country and other but it does not seem to work.

Hi, i am able to get the exact city locations for those azure data centers. now I can show the exact geographical place in the map but I like to display the name of the azure region instead of the city in the category name. my table is like this 

Col1     Region                       Place

1           East US                      Virginia

2           East US2                    Virginia

3           Southeast Asia          Singapore

4           Central US                 Iowa

5           South Central US      Texas

6           West US2                  Washington

My map looks like this now

I like to name the exact locations by the azure regions..something like Iowa into Central US and so on using the above table.

Any help? thanks

Hi @Yonas,

the map visual accepts only location names that Bing knows. You must customize your Region names.

Customize to what? my requierment is to show the Azure location regions which can not be cities. any ideas how can i make it work using East US and so on?

I think as East US, West US, etc is not a correct geographical names it's displaying on map is almost random

You should change region name to more appropriate geographical points like New York, Los Angeles, etc

I am showing Azure regions which means I can not customize it to a city since azure region locations are like East US and so on.
