this error just means map visuals are turned off somewhere — either in Desktop or in the tenant. Power BI won’t load the visual unless both allow it.
The Map (or Filled Map / Azure Maps) visual has been disabled — either for your personal Power BI Desktop settings or at the organization/tenant level by your Power BI administrator. If you are in Power BI Desktop:
This error means Map and Filled Map visuals have been disabled at the tenant level for your Power BI environment. To fix it, a Power BI tenant admin needs to open the Admin portal, go to Tenant settings, scroll down to Integration settings, and turn on "Map and Filled Map visuals". You can scope it to specific security groups if you do not want to enable it for the whole organization. Changes can take a few minutes to apply after saving.
If this solved your issue, please mark it as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best,
Shai Karmani
@aesy,
You have to enable that feature from the File -> Options and settings
