Map not rendering addresses

I have a column I've created that includes a city, state, zip (as a text column):

zips.PNG

There are blank fields.

Now, when I try to map it using the "map" visualization:

mapzip.PNG

Nothing is mapped.  Can anyone tell me what's going on?  thanks in advance.

Hi @mossshvlw

Try @parry2k 's suggestion to change the column's data category to Address or other geographic options so that Power BI does not need to guess whether it should treat this column as address. Also, you don't need to include "address" in the column name.

Amazingly, when I renamed the column to have "address" in the title, even though it is not an address but a city, it worked.  Very intuitive, power bi...🙄
