Map help - Custom internal company buildings map

Hello,

I'd like to know if the idea below is feaseble and how to do it, if possible, please.

I work for a company which has an internal process which requires that the team inspects some specific places for errors/no conformities. When there is a findings, we have the data tracked with the location (each location has an ID), number of occurences and detection date.

Today, we analyze the trends but it is not something visual to know where are each one of the locations and know the proximity of each inpection point with the others.

1) Is there a way where I can upload the internal factory/buildings to PBI and have the identification of each inpection point ?

2) When someone selects a table line or graph bar, is it possible to have the point highlighted ?

3) All inspections points are split into different buildings, is there a way to have a hierarquy presented into this custom map ? (if I select the building, all the building or all the inspections points will be highlighted into the map)

In advance, thank you for your time and appreciate the will for helping others.

@MrAnderson72, Not very clear

I think if you want MAP, then longitude and latitude should work.

You can have a custom JSON map. but I doubt it will go up to the level of construction,

Another option is:https://synoptic.design/

Hi @MrAnderson72,

#1, You can add 'lon' and 'lat' fields to help map visual locate data points more accurately.

Tips and tricks for Power BI map visualizations

#2, You can consider adding a category field that group all the data points and link to other table fields, then map visual can responded with other table interactions. (map visual does not support highlight effect, maybe you can try to use other visuals which support highlights)

#3, I don't think it is possible to achieve this in map visual. Maybe you can try to use synoptic panel visual which allows showing with custom shapes.

How to use the Synoptic Panel - OKVIZ
