We encounter a weird error/bug , in PowerBi .
On Admin Portal the option for "Map and filled map visuals" is disabled for the entire organization .
But today a user , that requested the feature , manage to just enable it in his Power Bi Desktop .
Checked again in admin portal , and the tenant setting is still on Disabled .
How this is possible , is this a bug , or if not what setting is so overpower that can overight tenants settings?
How we can control this option to be disabled or nabled based on or tenant needs?
I would appreciate any help/explenation , as we could not found this info
Regards ,
Christina

Hi Chris,
If the feature is disabled in service then it is applies only on the reports/models in the workspace/service. Power BI desktop will not listen all the settings from Power BI admin portal. In your case, filled map will work in Power BI desktop eventhough that is disabled in admin. if you publish the report to workspace then you will not see that visual. Check it out in workspace.
Thanks
Hari
Thanks a lot for clafifying this , as it was a bit confusing been dissabled in admin portal and then working in desktop for the users . That helped a lot .
