Manually refresh directquery table

We have a very large detail table but we don't want it to refresh unless it returns less than X rows.  I see in the options directquery can be set to automatically refresh.  If that's disabled can we manually refresh only the one table with a button ?  All the other tables are imported so we don't need them to refresh.

Hi @markperrone

Yes, you can create a button in your Power BI report that triggers a refresh of your DirectQuery table using Power Automate, with logic to only refresh when the result set is below your specified row count (X).

- Create a Power Automate flow that checks the row count of your table, only triggers a refresh if the count is below your threshold (X), returns a status message

- Embed this flow in your Power BI report as a button

Thanks for the solution.  Easier than I thought.  Can this be done with the desktop as well ?

There is no built -in path for a conditional update based on the number of lines in the desktop. Just create a card with calculating the lines and manually press when the card shows the amount more than, your threshold value
