Manage roles: issue that can only be solved by deleting complete source

Hello,

I have roles in my report. One source (file) has changed but that keeps on working fine. However, now I get a error message when I click on manage roles. Also, users get errors in PowerBI Service, probably because of the same error. The only way I seem to get it working again is to delete the whole source and set it up again. Any idea how to solve it easier?   See link for details of the error:

Hi @Anonymous ,

What version of Desktop do you use?

Did it happen except you clicked the manage roles?

What data source do you connect? Is an import mode?

And I couldn’t download your pbix file, could you please upload it in OneDrive for business?

@amitchandak  there are no query errors so nothing visible that is going wrong when clicking on Transform Data. Just the error pop up when I click on manage roles.
