Manage deleted rows when Incremental Refresh is configured

Hello,

We have a case where we have configured Incremental Refresh where we have filtered the rows on "Created Date" and have "Modified Date" for the Detect Data changes field.
But when the rows are deleted, it won't be detected for the detect data changes and hence it won't be deleted from the dataset. So, it would sit in the dataset even though it is deleted from the database.

Can anyone please help on how to manage such scenario?
Any tips/tricks would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @amitchandak ,

Thank you for the response. The link that you sent is a year old. Does this still hold true?

Hi @rajulshah

The reply in the link is still true.

Per my understanding, if the deleted rows are in the Store Range not Refresh Range, they will remain in the dataset. You can only delete them in the dataset by reloading all the data.

If the deleted rows are in the Refresh Range, is there any other row on the same date of the deleted row? If any, you may try update a row on the same date to change the Modified Date into a newer one than the last refresh date to make it can be detected, so that the whole day of data can be refreshed.

You may get some ideas from this link: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Premium-Incremental-Refresh-Detect-data-changes-How-does-it...
