Hi. im making a visual with multiple gauges for a dashboard. Is there any way to make gauges stay in place and not change size no matter the data input, target and value? i cant seem to make this happen no matter what i do.
Hello,
unfortunally I don't have the solution, but the same problem.
Eva
Seems like the only option to stop swaying gauge as the powerBI tries to fit data in visual is apply this workaround.
1. Switch off the target value and title label as those apparently cause the problems - optionally keep "needle" as a representation of target variable.
2. On top of the gauge use a Card visual, where you put your target value and desired title of the gauge chart.
Problem solved!
Hi,
do you mean constant axis on your visual? If so, you can create one measure for your start value and one for end value, i.e.
StartValue = 1
EndValue = 25
Place the measures in Minimum value and Maximum value for the gauge and the axis should be constant.
Thanks for the reply. the constant axis is fine. but the overall dimentions of the visual itself constantly changes both in width and hight aswell. wich makes my dials move around the report when getting lots of data in them when set up to supprt low numbers.
